Nate - I think it is more of a question of what is to hot for you rather than your machine. With the proper oil for the climatic condition, your Savage may just be happier than you are. In the summer here in Kansas like where you live it's just too hot for me to ride during the day. Hot air coming up off of the pavement feels like a blow torch sometimes. These type rides are dangerous due to heat postration which can sneak up on you without warning. On days like that I still ride but wait until the sun goes down and things begin to cool off. I really enjoy my moonlite rides and wouldn't trade them off for anything.
